A really original film from 2005 year. I have never seen such an amazing movie since I saw Their Eyes Were Watching God the first time. It tells important lesson about how you should live your life to it's fullness. You do not need to like Romance films to enjoy time spent on watching this film. Director once again delivered us great piece of art. I liked the characters, all of them, even the antagonists were unforgettable, especially Halle Berry. Rly, this is the first film I saw that made me feel I saw something better than just a movie. Their Eyes Were Watching God will live with the next generations of men, I'm certain of that. It is one of the few movies of the past years that really deserve to be seen multiple times.

The movie follows free-spirited Janie Crawford's search for happiness which leads her through several different marriages, challenging the morals of her small town. Refusing to compromise in spite of society's expectations, Janie endures two stifling marriages until finally finding love in a passionate romance with a much younger man.
